Lush’s loved-up Valentine’s Day collection launches on the 9th January 2024 across all stores and online.

With a whopping 34 products in total – 31 of which are brand new for 2024 – Lush’s new Valentine’s Day collection is inspired by all the different ways in which people show love – whether it’s a grand gesture, a whimsical gift or even just offering someone a small kindness, like running them a bath.

In true Lush style, the range covers bath, shower, body, face, and fragrance, along with a selection of gifts and eco-friendly gift wraps all featuring new designs too. Lush gifts are all wrapped in recycled and recyclable paper, which are either upcycled from waste paper, cotton t-shirt offcuts, lokta or banana fibres. All tags and inserts are 100 per cent recycled and recyclable, and nearly 4 million discarded plastic bottles have been turned into Lush’s gift ribbons!

Why not get naked this Valentine’s Day? Lush believes beautiful products shouldn’t cost the earth, so 50 per cent of the 2024 Valentine’s Day range is ‘naked’ – which means it has no packaging at all! Many of Lush’s packaged products have a ‘naked’ counterpart (e.g. its tubed and naked mascaras), and this collection is no different – Passion Fruit Body Wash is the naked alternative to Passion Body Wash!

The other half of Lush’s Valentine’s Day range is packaged in Lush’s iconic recycled and recyclable plastic pots and bottles. Since 2008, the company has only used 100 per cent recycled plastic in all of its black pots and clear bottles. Lush shoppers help keep virgin plastics out of its packaging completely via the Bring It Back Scheme – for every black pot or clear bottle customers return to their local Lush store to be recycled, they get 50p off at the till. There is no limit to how many pots they can bring back in one go, so there is serious money to be saved in recycling!

Lush’s Valentine’s Day 2024 Knot and Lokta Wraps

Made from recycled plastic bottles and designed by Blue Room – Bluecoat’s inclusive arts project supporting learning disabled and neurodivergent artists . Blue Room artists explore contemporary art at the art centre in Liverpool, North West England with support to create and share their own work. 50cm x 50cm.

Building Together is one of a series of collaborative collages by Blue Room artists created using a playful approach. In a game of ‘pass the paper’, each artist added their own mark to the collage using print offcuts and scrap paper shapes, before passing the piece along to the next artist in the studio. The process was repeated until every shape had been placed and 12 abstract collages had been created by many hands.

Made from 100% organic cotton, grown organically to build healthy soils which reduce water usage. 70cm x 70cm.

Made from recycled plastic bottles, 100cm x 100cm. Designed by Studio Upstairs – an arts and health charity with studios in Bristol and London which foster creative therapeutic communities for people with mental health or emotional difficulties.

When working on the design for this Valentine’s-themed knot wrap, the artists wanted to explore the true meaning of love and caring for others. After a discussion on Valentine’s Day and what that day means beyond hearts and the colour red, each artist added their unique style to a communal canvas.
